Digest Miami’s Beach Feast presented by Afrohead Premium Aged Dark Rum at the Surfcomber South Beach, A Kimpton Hotel celebrated Miami Spice. On September 19th, over 250 guests indulged in an oceanfront oasis while sampling delicious bites including Miami Spice dishes from a select group of Miami’s top restaurants.
This past Saturday, over 250 guests gathered at Digest Miami’s Inaugural Beach Feast presented by AFROHEAD Premium Aged Dark Rum. The event was held at the lush poolside oasis of Kimpton’s Surfcomber South Beach which recently opened their new beachfront bar and restaurant, High Tide.
Showcasing 8 different restaurants, attendees feasted on some Miami Spice’s best bites including samples from Area 31, The Social Club, Lure Fishbar, CIBO Wine Bar, EDGE Steak & Bar, Coyo Taco, High Tide and COYA. An outstanding lineup of chefs joined the evening festivities including Surfcomber Hotel Executive Chef Blair Wilson, EPIC Hotel Executive Chef Wolfgang Birk, Lure Fishbar’s Executive Chef John Iatrellis, Executive Chef/Partner of Coyo Taco Scott Linquist, EDGE Executive Sous Chef Jose Gamez, Chef Carlos Estarita of COYA, and Chef Richard of Cibo Wine Bar South Beach.
Afrohead Rum’s brand ambassador, Isaac Grillo of Repour, created two specialty cocktails for the evening; Afrodite, a combination of fresh watermelon puree, lime juice, and simple syrup and Easy Sippin’, apple puree combined with jalepeño/cinnamon syrup and lemon juice.
The Surfcomber’s private 7,000 sqft sandy area provided many entertaining offerings. Throughout the evening, Beach Feast guests were mingling with notable chefs, lounging under the starlit sky or dancing to guest DJ George Vidal’s sensual house beats. This magical, neverening evening continued with elated guests ibibing at High Tide’s festive bar.
