DBGB Kitchen and Bar NYC brings its exciting 5th birthday celebration to db Bistro Moderne Miami highlighting their most popular dishes including the Seasonal Baked Alaska! First originating in New York in 1867 to commemorate the American purchase of Alaska, this decadent ice-cream cake is now a signature dessert of celebrity chef Daniel Boulud.
Through July 4th, Executive Pastry Chef Jerome Maure will prepare his take on this show stopping dessert at db Bistro Moderne Miami. Requiring multiple steps, Chef Jerome tells us the process takes place over a couple of days. The first day is dedicated to preparing the ingredients including vanilla genoise, pistachio ice cream, raspberry sorbet and classic meringue. The ingredients are then assembled on the second day and flambéed in Grand Marnier.
