August 5th is National Oyster Day and to commemorate the mouth watering holiday restaurants across South Florida are serving up the tasty aphrodisiac for guests to indulge in on this seafood holiday.
Local favorites like Sweet Beach, Unit B Eatery + Spirits, Uchi, and Villa Azur will be shucking their own classic and innovative styles of oysters for bivalve enthusiasts to enjoy.

Uchi
Located in the Wynwood arts and entertainment district, Uchi is known for Chef Tyson Cole’s award-winning, non-traditional take on Japanese cuisine. On National Oysters Day, guests can savor in Uchi’s one-of-a-kind Oysters ($5.50 for two oysters, $33 for a dozen), seasoned with fresno, koji, and cilantro. Guests can also stop by during happy hour, available daily from 5PM to 6:30PM, to enjoy Oysters ($2.50), habanero, cilantro, and koji or Half Dozen Oysters paired with half a bottle of Krug Champagne ($99). During happy hour diners can indulge in sparkling wine and champagne which is all half off.
