To say that 2020 has been a trying year would be an understatement. So like so many we can't wait to say goodbye to this horrid year and usher in 2021 with open arms. For those looking to ring in the New Year out of the house, we've put together a wide variety of options for you to choose from.The New Normal Guide outlines the following:
- Restaurants may operate at no more than 50% of its capacity for indoor dining, while also being able to use outdoor space for seating.
- Restaurants can host up to four diners at the same table together while maintaining three feet between each other. However diners from the same household can sit up to six at a table and don't have to observe the three-feet rule.
- Physical distancing and wearing masks (even homemade cloth masks) will be strongly enforced.
- Tables must be spaced three feet apart and can only be 26-32 inches wide.

First Seating Dinner
– From 6PM to 8PM, indulge in an extravagant three-course dinner, priced at $125 per person. The menu by Executive Chef Valter Mancini begins with an Amuse Bouche of Duck Foie Gras. Appetizer selections include a choice of Chilled Stone Crab Claws or Kobe Beef Carpaccio. For the Main Course, guests can choose between Pan Seared Chilean Seabass served with creamed spinach or Filet Mignon, served with Bordelaise sauce, grilled porcini mushrooms, and rosemary roasted potatoes. To finish, Dessert offerings include a choice of Valrhona Chocolate Mousse or White Chocolate Mousse.Main Seating & Party
– Ring in New Year’s Eve with music by DJ Maxwell Blandford, synchronized swim performances by Aqualillies and a spectacular four-course dinner with unlimited Veuve Clicquot Brut NZ, priced at $450 per person. Dinner begins with an Amuse Bouche of Duck Foie Gras. Appetizer selections include a choice of Chilled Stone Crab Claws or Kobe Beef Carpaccio. Middle Course pasta offerings include Lobster Fettuccine or Tagliolini. For the Main Course, guests can choose between Pan Seared Chilean Seabass served with creamed spinach or Filet Mignon, served with Bordelaise sauce, grilled porcini mushrooms, and rosemary roasted potatoes. Award winning chef Alain Verzeroli’s Le Jardinier, has been a star attraction in South Florida, especially for the more vegetable-forward. The vegetarian restaurant will offer two seatings with tasting menus and a la carte option available. The first seating with reservations from 5PM until 6:30PM will offer a $125 per person, 5-course tasting with a $70 wine pairing option available. Second seating will feature a $175 per person, 6-course tasting menu, including a Champagne toast, with a $120 wine pairing supplement; reservations will begin at 8PM until 10PM. Both seatings will offer a limited a la carte menu in addition to the tasting menus. Standout dishes from both seatings include Kampachi Crudo with citrus, winter radish and beets; Maine Lobster with winter vegetables, broccoli and ginger coulis; Filet de Boeuf with sauce Périgueux and fingerling potatoes; and Cauliflower with crustacean consommé and Russian caviar.
Dessert by Executive Pastry Chef Salvatore Martone will be a “Mont-Blanc'' Tart with cassis compote and rum flavored chiffon. The coveted upscale restaurant in the Miami Design District will be offering two seatings for New Year’s Eve. The first seating, with reservations between 5PM and 6:30PM, will feature a 7-course tasting menu priced at $180 per person, as well as a limited a la carte menu. Reservations between 8PM and 10PM, will be offered an elevated version of the Menu du Reveillon tasting menu priced at $250 per person including a glass of Champagne to toast at midnight. Wine pairings are available during both seatings, priced at $125 and $185, respectively.
Menu highlights include Le Crabe Royal with Alaskan King Crab and daïkon ravioli with honey dressing; Le Boeuf petite ribeye and butternut squash tartlet with caramelized onion; Le Turbot wild caught steamed Turbot, caviar cream sauce and leek fondue; and Le Ravioli de Langoustine with black truffle shavings, foie gras emulsion and green cabbage.
Photo-worthy desserts from Executive Pastry Chef Salvatore Martone that taste as great as they look will include La Canneberge, cranberry compote served with a green apple sherbet and a calamansi emulsion; and La Foret Noire, black Forest chocolate crémeux with cherries and Kirsch Chantilly. Welcome 2021 With Open Arms
This New Year’s Eve, join Chef/Owner Michael Beltran for the final Versos Sencillos tasting menu of 2020. Chef Beltran’s twelve-course tasting menu has been a hit since it first launched earlier this year.
The special menu, which includes a glass of bubbly, is priced at $225 per person with an optional wine pairing available for an additional $125 or $190 per person, and an optional cocktail pairing available for $95 or $55 (spirit free).
The offering includes three Amuse offerings; a local fish ceviche with strawberry and tomato jus, tomato leaf powder, and veil of tomato; savory potato doughnut with foie gras mousse, bitter coffee mousse, and shaved white truffles; sofrito guinea hen with fricasse jus; and pork tenderloin with braised pork cheeks, sherried chestnuts, local calabaza, and mushroom espuma, and more.
Pastry Chef Devin Braddock is serving up suspense and promises to surprise guests with his dessert course.
Ariete is located at 3540 Main Highway in Coconut Grove. The first seating is from 7PM to 8PM; the second seating is from 8PM to 9:30PM. Guests who stick around for the later seating can count down to the New Year and watch the ball drop. There is very limited seating available.
